Lord Nícollas Reis, Duke of Lauceston (born Nícolas Watson Reis da Cruz in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 3 March 1995) was the 6th Lord Speaker of the College of Peers of the Realm, acting as speaker of the house since his appointment by High King Arthur II in 31 December 2019. He has been serving as Peer of the Realm for the Royal City of Gillisburgh.
Active in the Ebenthali micronationalism since the beggining, Nícollas played a major role in Ebenthali history. In 2017 he was the responsible for the discovery of the plot to overthrown High King Arthur I by the former First Lord Nilo Moreira which ultimately led to the Ebenthali Civil War. During the war he pledged his allegiance to the High King and gave an epic speech that demoralized the Ebenthali rebels, turning some of them to remain loyal to the monarch. Later, in 2019, during the Mateusian Crisis spraked by High King Mateus I, he, along with his brother Pedro Reis, Count of Iustitia, the Seneschal of Ebenthal pressioned the Conclave to force the monarch's abdication. As member of the powerful Ebenthali Reis Dynasty which, besides them, had other three members in government, his leadership at the parliament was essential to force First Lord Thiago to comply with the Tribune of Truth's rogue decision to dethrone Mateus and rule him a criminal. For his brilliant action during this last crisis and his role during the civil war, he was recognized as a national hero and it is currently the only non-royal Ebenthali bearer of all national awards (excluding the female-only one).
In 31 December 2019, two days after his ascension to the throne, Arthur II appointed Nícollas Reis as Lord Speaker in substitution to Thiago Walker.
