The Ministry of Commerce and Public Works (Portuguese: Ministério do Comércio e Obras Públicas) is a ministerial department of Ebenthal responsible for conduct the country's general financial policies and manage the public infrastructure. The ministry is led by the Minister of Commerce and Public Works who is freely named by the Prime Minister. The current Minister is the Marquis of Bracara.
The office native name was inspired by the Empire of Brazil's Ministry of Commerce, Road and Public Works.
History
The Ministry of Commerce and Public Works was officialy founded in 11 January 2015, in substitution for the Ministry of Finances (Portuguese: Ministério da Fazenda) which had been created altogether with the micronation in 11 August 2014. The chosen date was a celebration of Ebenthal's fifth month of exitence.
The Ministry had been the responsible for order and pressing for the realization of important public works of which the most distinguishable is the pavimentation of the Maria Sant'Anna Avenue in Sant'Anna, Aldiva, and the reformation of the Carlos Manoel Palace in Abyssi, Alvorada. On the grounds of finances, the Ministry's most noticeable act it has been taken in the matter of the implementation of a cooperative financial policy for Ebenthal within the Conference of Santiago with the adoption of the Conferential Doubloon as official currency.
