The city is the official seat of the Union Assembly, the Commonwealth's legislative body, though this is not followed in practice. It consists of an area surrounding the Swiss village of Lully in the canton of Geneva. It's highest point is the Signal de Bernex, a hill with a view on the entire surrounding canton and Lake Geneva. The city experiences a temperate climate, consistent with its surrounding country and biome.

History

Settlement in the city's area has existed since antiquity, but was most expanded during Roman times. The land on which the city is located has variously belonged to France, various Genevan city states and duchies, and now Switzerland.

In 2015, the micronationalist Michal Nowacki claimed the city as the capital of his Republic of Litvania, and the city was officially introduced to the micronational world. To celebrate the occasion, the president of the micronation placed a ceremonial Litvanian flag in the city's presidential palace, as a symbol of the continuity of the state, and of the spirit of micronationalism.

In November 2020, after the collapse of the Republic of Litvania and the proclamation of a new Cheskgariyan-Litvanian Commonwealth, he city was proclaimed part of the Commonwealth and the regional capital of the Grand Duchy of Litvania. It is the seat of the Grand Duke of Litvania and as such has Crown City status within the Commonwealth.

Geography

The city is located in the Swiss canton of Geneva, in the commune of Bernex, in the village of Lully. It has a varied geography, featuring a hilly slope down towards a stream surrounded in greenery. The majority of the area of the city consists of vineyards belonging to local inhabitants, with around 40% of the area being built up and residential.

Government

The city is headed by a collective mayoral council, which acts as a collective executive body for the city. The current mayoral council is made up of 4 citizens, with the chairman position rotating between members every year. The current head of the council is the King Father, Witold.

Due to its small area, the city is not divided into further subdivisions, however an unofficial list of constituent manors that make up the city is kept by the council. Citizens may be appointed as lords of those constituent manors by the head of state.
