In recent years, many micronations have adopted laws regarding lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people. These laws vary greatly by micronation, and in many cases macronational law may interfere with it. Some perfere BGLT (the alphabeticly in order acronym), in order not to favour one group over another. But this article will use LGBT as acronym.

LGBT issues have been discussed in the MicroWiki Sector in several occasions, and many leaders of prominent micronations in this sector are open members of the LGBT community. The foundation of the Gay and Lesbian Kingdom of the Coral Sea Islands, the Principality of Urania and the signing of the Denton Protocol are examples of the presence of the LGBT community in micronationalism.

Scope of laws

Laws that affect LGBT people include, but are not limited to, the following:

Legislation by micronation

North America

South America
