Julian Pieterson is a senior Erusian politician and trade unionist who is currently serving as the leader of the Party of Socialist Labour, the third largest political party in the Democratic People's Republic of Erusia and the coalition partner of the ruling Erusian National Communist Party. He has served as a member of the National People's Assembly since October 15th 2009, when he won the constituency of Akers in a by-election as an independent candidate, becoming the first politician in Erusian history to win an election without the endorsement of a major party. He became leader of the Labour Party on the day of its formation two months later in December, and to this day is the only Labour member of the Assembly, though Labour deputy leader Mia Brown also held a seat during the 5th Sitting of the chamber.
