The European Union Joining Committee is a former Skovajian government agency which strived to induct the Empire of Paravia into the European Union. The Committee feels that joining the EU would force the UK to recognise them as independent, and this has since become their main goal.
Background
The committee was established by the government of Skovaji, with the aim of inducting the nation into the EU. When Skovaji joined Paravia, the organisation remained open with the aim of inducting the whole of Paravia into the European Union. By October, the organisation had essentially ceased to exist, with no meetings being held and very little progress on any projects.
Closure
In 2016, the committee (which had been inactive for several months), was shut down by the then independent government of Skovaji in favour of closer union with the Democratic Republic of Howe.
