The Department of Historical Documentation (better known as the Department of History) is an Austenasian organisation the primary purpose of which is to document and record historical events within the Empire of Austenasia. The department was founded by Lord Charles Ross as an attempt to maintain official records within the empire after having been appointed Official Historian by Emperor Jonathan I on 3 May 2019. The department is also closely tied with (and subsequently subservient to) the Ministry for Culture.
