The '''Department of Historical Documentation''' (better known as the ''Department of History'') is an Austenasian organisation the primary purpose of which is to document and record historical events within the [[Empire of Austenasia]]. The department was founded by [[Charles Ross|Lord Charles Ross]] as an attempt to maintain official records within the empire after having been appointed [[Official Historian (Austenasia)|Official Historian]] by [[Jonathan I, Emperor of Austenasia|Emperor Jonathan I]] on 3 May [[2019]]. The department is also closely tied with (and subsequently subservient to) the [[Ministry for Culture (Austenasia)|Ministry for Culture]].
