The current Coat of Arms of the State of the People of West Antarctica was adopted on December 19, 2011. The arms consist of a shield bearing the flag of the State. The dexter and the sinister supporter is an Emperor penguin, representing the native wildlife in the territory. The penguin stands on an ice floor. The motto is Magni Esse Mereamur (Let us achieve greatness).
