A Chief petty officer, 1st class is the most senior non-commissioned officer of the Armed Forces of Ikonia, more specifically, His Majesty's Army. It outranks a Chief petty officer, 2nd class of the navy, a master warrant officer of the army, and a warrant officer, 2nd class of the air force. Its equivalent is a chief warrant officer of the army, and a warrant officer, 1st class of the air force. It is outranked by a Cadet of all three services.

The duties of a CPO1 in the navy is to provide discipline and parentship to their subordinates, and usually coxswains a ship. A marine CPO1 provides discipline and parentship to their subordinates, and usually acts as a regimental sergeant major.

A formation chief petty officer is a CPO1 in charge of a command, or service. They are referred to as their command, followed by 'chief petty officer', or 'chief petty officer of' followed by their command, i.e. Special operations command chief petty officer, or chief petty officer of the navy.
