The Abeldane Empire held its first general election on 10 January 2015. All government offices (from head of government to cabinet ministers and state governors) were elected. The main contest was for the premiership; Andrew Janiszewski of the New Democratic Party (NDP) won in a landslide against fellow party candidate and incumbent PM Donald West and GOP candidate Michael Thomas Brazeau.

The elected Deputy Prime Minister was Damian Billbrough of the Conservative Party, who received twice as many votes as Whig Party candidate Benjamin Norris.
