The Fraildenese State, more commonly and colloquially known as Fraild Districtà, is a self-proclaimed country located in Europe. Originally founded on an unknown date, approximated to be between 2017 and 2019, with just 9 May used officially, the Fraildenese State is a unitary state under a semi-democratic dual power system. It is surrounded by Italy, with a small piece of coast on the Adriatic Sea, with a total citizen population of 11.

Etymology

The use of the name "Fraild" (/fræɪld/) originally derives from the name of founder and current head of the National Council E. Fraild C..

History

Foundation and early history

Reconstruction of the first flag of the Fraildenese State

The Fraildenese State was originally established between 2017 and 2019, officially under the name "Fraild Districtà". It was named after the founder Fraild, who also, at the moment of the foundation, didn't know of the existence of micronations or quasi-states. After a supposed conflict in May 2020, the Fraildenese State was re-established as the Fraildenese Socialist State.

Renovation era and transitional period

From 7 January to 25 April 2022, the government started a program of political and social reforms. During this time period there were multiple changes to the political and economical structure of the nation, including the complete re-structure of the government, from a de facto dictatorship to a dual power system semi-democracy and the creation two separate executive and legislative bodies. In September 2022, following the re-structuring of the government into a semi-democracy in April 2022, the Fraildenese State would go under a nation-wide political crisis; the political inactivity of the majority of the population (which also caused, between December 2022 and January 2023, massive citizenship revocations and citizen expulsions) created the vacancy of most governmental positions causing major instability in all the political, economical and social aspects in the nation and the creation of a provisional junta.

Current era

In June 2023, about a month after the anniversary of original foundation of the Fraildenese State, was announced, with a new constitution, a complete re-establishment of the country, with the change of its official name (from "Fraildenese Socialist State" to only "Fraildenese State"), the re-structure of all of the three main governmental bodies, respectively into the National Council, the Legislative Council and the Executive Council, and the officialization, as a national language, of a reworked Fraildenese language.

Politics

State flag of the Fraildenese State

The Fraildenese constitution defines the Fraildenese State as a unitary state under a semi-democratic dual power system, with the Head of the National Council as the main and in-power for life head of state and government. The Head of the Legislative Council and the Head of the Executive Council are the second-highest officials within the state, both elected every 8 months by the Legislative Council.

Government

Legislative and executive power

The Fraildenese constitution divides legislative and executive powers between the National Council and respectively between the Legislative Council and the Executive Council.

The National Council is the main and most important body within the Fraildenese government; it acts as a non-elected body with both legislative and executive powers. It is composed by the Head of the National Council and by the members of the National Council, who are appointed by the Head of the National Council with an indefinite term of office. It has the power to promulgate both laws and acts and the power to veto or to modify any other laws or acts proposed by any other body present within the state.

The Legislative Council acts as the elected unicameral parliament and main other legislative body after the National Council within the Fraildenese government, and it is composed by the Head of the Legislative Council and by 4 representatives, who are directly elected by the people every 6 months.

The Executive Council acts as the main other executive body after the National Council within the Fraildenese government. It is composed by the Head of the Executive Council and by the Vice Head of the Executive Council, who is appointed by Head of the Executive Council.

Foreign relations

Since 2023, the Fraildenese State has started establishing formal bilateral relations with other sovereign self-proclaimed states, mainly through the Together IS Better diplomatic program.

The Together IS Better diplomatic program was created by the government of the Fraildenese State to fulfill the need of a buffer organization that would take the role of evaluating the reliability of the entities requesting diplomatic relations.

Currently, one of the main diplomatic partners of the Fraildenese State is the State of Rovia, with both countries having signed two mutual cooperation and recognition treaties and being part of numerous international projects, including the International Redazione project and multiple Fraildenese-headed projects.
