The 2010 Zealandian General Election was held on June 18, 2010 with polls opening at 7 30 am (UTC +12) and closing at 10 30 pm (UTC+12).

The Election covered all 20 Seats in the Zealandian House of Commons. A debate between the two main Political parties (Progressive and National Peoples) was planned take place at 8pm (UTC+12) on KOZBC One on the 17th of June but due to technical problems never when ahead . The Election produced an over hang seat, which the king has allowed.

The Main Political parties

The Progressive Party of Zealandia led by the incumbent caretaker first minister Sir Robert Kennedy .

The National Peoples party led by Rt. Hon Mark Fowler. (incumbent Chancellor of the Exchequer)

Voting

Voting will take place online with people enrolled to vote being sent an email with the link to the voting webpage. The system of of voting is adapted off the New Zealand MMP System. after the polls have closed HM King Anthony will announce to the party leaders the results and then he will announce the results to the public.

His Majesty under section four of the constitution of The Kingdom of Zealandia is in charge of all Elections held in Zealandia.


Timeline

March 1, 2020 HM King Anthony annouces the election, to be held on December 1, 2010

May 2010 King Anthony moves the election date to July 1, 2010

June 12, 2010 King Anthony on the advice a minister moves the election to June 18, 2010

June 18, 2010: 0659 Hours (UTC +12) King Anthony revokes all ministerial appointments "to ensure a fair and free election".

0700 Hours the Polls open.

2230 Hours the Polls Close

2245 Hours King Anthony Addreses the Public on KOZBC One, he announces the outcome of the election.

Progressive Party of Zealandia 11 seats

National Peoples Party of Zealandia 6 seats

Social Democratic Party of Zealandia 2 Seats

Zealandian Labour Party 2 Seats With an overhang of 1 seat which has been allowed.
